Today is a great day. First because, this is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. (cf. Psa 118:24). Also because it is Thursday. A few months ago a group of men from Central Church of Christ decided to get together on Thursday mornings for coffee, fellowship, and Bible study.  We are calling our gathering “Men’s Bible Talk.” We spend a few moments in prayer and we read a chapter out of the book of the Bible we are studying and then discuss application of the text. There is nothing formal about our study, just a discussion where we learn from each other and grow because of our time together.

This morning at 8:30 we start the book of James. We were supposed to start last week, but there were only three of us there, so we just spent time talking. I look forward to this Thursday group.

Here is an idea for you. Get a group of your friends and forever family together for fellowship, prayer, and God’s word.  I know such an assembly will be a blessing for you.
