What does the term P.C. bring to your mind?  Do you think of the archaic term “privileged character?”  Maybe you are old enough to think “personal computer.”  Or if you are paying attention to the media over the last decade you think – “politically correct.”  Combining the three terms into one sentence we could say that certain self proclaimed privileged characters spend time on their personal computers insisting that we all be politically correct.  In short; Certain PCs use their PCs to promote their PC agenda.  Admittedly, there are some aspects of the politically correct culture that are beneficial; specifically a sense of respect for differences among people.  At the same time some of the PC mentality goes way too far.  With all that said; here are some suggestions of how we might be PC follow:

1) Pure Conscience: James 1:27 states that to have pure religion we are to remain unspotted (undefiled) from the world.  Is your conscience clean?  Do you know that you are living a pure life?

2) Peace Conductor:  James tells Christians, “And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace” (Jas 3:18).  Do you pursue actions that conduct (make for) peace?  We should practice living at peace with all men (Rom 12:18).

3) Power Conscious: Realize the power of God in the lives of mankind.  Do not rely on your own abilities to save you.  Be conscious of the power in the gospel (Rom 1:16).  The good news of Christ is the power that saves man from himself.  Be sure to be a Power Communicator and share the message of God’s power.

4) Precious Child:  We may not be privileged characters in the eyes of the world, but in the eyes of God we are His precious children. Paul reminds the Roman Christians that “the Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God” (Rom 8:16).  John continuously calls his readers “little children.”   What a wonderful blessing to be a child of God.  The blessings and privileges of this relations are too numerous to list in this article.  One such blessing cannot go unmentioned, as His adopted precious child, we have redemption through the blood of Christ, which is the remission of our sins (Eph 1:7).
