• I have a past!

There are things, events, sins, words, actions, inactions that we wish were never a part of our lives. We are not alone. Everyone has bruises, scars, wounds, hurts, and pain. Some cause by others, many caused by self. We live in a world filled with lives broken by the consequences of sin. Not one of us is exempt.

Then comes GRACE! Marvelous, wondrous, amazing, merciful grace! God steps up! God makes us an offer. God says, “Here I am, let the sacrifice of My Righteous Son pay the debt of your sin. Let Him take on your pain, your hurts, your bruises, your cross, your death. Let Him bear My wrath against sin on your behalf.” (Paul says much the same in 2Cor 5:21).

Jesus, the Christ, gave His life for your rescue. He longs to be your refuge from the despondencies of a fallen creation. He begs of you to place your life in His hands (The apostle tells us how we do this in Christ – Gal 3:26-27).

Dear God, our Righteous Father, thank you for Grace. You deserve all our praise for the gift of salvation through Your Son. Thank you for providing for my rescue. Thank you for forgiving my past. Yet as I thank You for this gift, I pray that those who have never put on the name of Christ will find Salvation in His blood that they will obey the good news of salvation through an obedient faith. – In Jesus’ name.
