Hope

I hope I get a bicycle for Christmas.

I hope I get to see you soon.

I hope he asks me out again.

I hope she says, “YES!”

Hope: A feeling of desire for a certain thing or event to occur. This is how the world defines hope.

Hope

“Behold, the ey of the Lord is on them that fear Him, on those who HOPE in his steadfast love.” Psalm 33:18

“For You, O Lord, are my HOPE, my trust, O Lord, from my youth.” Psalm 71:5

“My soul longs for Your salvation; I HOPE in Your Word.: Psalm 119:81

“Because of the HOPE laid up for you in heaven.” Colossians 1:5

“And we desire for each of you to show the same earnestness to have full assurance of HOPE until the end.” Hebrews 6:11

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ: According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1Peter 1:3

HOPE: A confidence held in security by God. This is how the Spirit defines hope. Hope is the sooner than later realized expectation of the child of God.

He lifts us out of our sin, and

Opens the floodgate of His grace;

Pouring His Spirit into our heart, giving an

Earnest, a promise, of a life in Him to those who are washed in HIs blood.
