I just spent a week at Indian Creek Youth Camp in Oakman, Alabama. The camp is about 40 minutes from my house and Amy and I worked the kitchen with a few other folks. My job was to wash up, chopped onions, squash, zucchini, and tomatoes. I also pulled things out of the oven and help serve drinks. I was accused of playing the “quality control” card to often (tasting all the food before the children ate – I would not want any of them to get sick).
It was a busy week, full of fellowship, building on established friendships, and making new friends. We laughed together. We played sports together. We ate together. We worshiped together. We learned more about following Jesus.
Thank you to our team of directors that put this week together. Will, J., and John Mark, thanks for all the work. Thank you for letting Amy and I be a part of your FIRST ICYC Week.
