Who Are You?

PNG image I may know you personally or I may not, but can ask a favor of you? I want you to think about who you are. Don’t just think about your name or your family name. Don’t answer with your occupation. Think about who you are.

I don’t know you but if you are anything like the following I have something to share with you. Are you?

  • A good person?
  • A sinner?
  • One who suffers?
  • One with low self-worth?
  • Divorced or married?
  • Widowed or single?
  • A parent or child?
  • A single parent?
  • An unwed mother?
  • Different from everyone else?
  • Lonely or alone?
  • Business owner or employee?
  • Unemployed or unemployable?
  • On parole?
  • An addict or a recovering addict?
  • A teacher or student?
  • In love or one who lost their love?
  • Strong or weak?
  • Bold or timid?
  • A soldier?
  • A jailer or prisoner?
  • A nomad or home body?
  • Poor or rich?
  • Young or old?
  • Hungry or thirsty?
  • A dreamer or realist?
  • Have you been hurt?
  • Have you been healed?

If any of these are you (even if I missed who you are) there is something you need to know. You can come to the cross. You can find comfort and rest in Christ, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30).

You can find comfort and rest in Christ.

The good news is for all – Rom 1:16.
