Starting today there is something I am going to do. Starting today there is a challenge I have for you. There at four things I want us to practice. Four things that I believe will change the way we are thinking, help us take our thoughts captive, and to have a better life.
- Replace Worry with Faith – Philippians 4:6-7 “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
- Replace Despair with Hope – Psalms 33:18-19 “Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love, that he may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine.”
- Replace Anger with Love – Jonah 4:2 ” . . . . for I knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster.”
- Replace Doubt with Trust – Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
Have a great week!
