Dear Lord, You know me, better than I know myself. You know my strengths and my weaknesses. This morning I continue to ask You to:
KEEP me from be too talkative. Help me to realize I do not have to say something on every subject on every occasion.
DELIVER me from wanting to and trying to straighten our the business of others, unless they ask.
LET me be thoughtful without being moody; helpful without being bossy; and available without being pushy.
GIVE me grace to listen with empathy, patiently, and thoughtfully when others are speaking and need a listener.
TEACH me to know that I can be and may be mistaken. Help me humbly acknowledge the mistakes I make.
HELP me to look for good things. Both in my life and the lives of others. Help me to see the good in all men.
CAUSE me to the the type of person others enjoy being around. Help me to bring to others happiness and a good example of Christ.
In Jesus name.
Amen.
Wonderful words! Thanks for linking me up!
I’ve had that clipping in my files for years (about 20 if I had to guess) and on my desk for about 9 months, after I ran across it looking for a different poem.
