“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

This comes from our chronological reading last week.  Numbers is a book many Christians skip, but within the text are jewels like the blessing above.

The Lord Bless You and Keep You

• God does desire to bless
  • Through Christ – Phil 4:19
  • They are abundant – Eph 3:20-21
  • He desires to care for us – Matt 6:25-32
    • The condition – Eph 1:3 – In Christ
    • Seek His kingdom and righteousness and receive blessings.

The Lord Make His Face to Shine Upon You, and Be Gracious Unto You

• All spiritual blessing are in Christ –including Grace – Jn 1:17.
  • Rom 3:22-25.
  • It is imperative that we accept His Grace and remain in that Grace  – 2Cor 6:1-2.

The Lord Lift His Countenance Upon You and Give You Peace.

• Jn 1:12 / 1 Jn 3:1
• We have peace with God – Rom 5:1
• Stay in touch with God for peace – Phil 4:6-7
• Christ is our High Priest – this blessing is for us.
• We are the lesser priests – share the blessing.
