Focus On Heaven In 2011

Paul writes: “. . . look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:18 ESV).

Here is a short outline of how we can “Focus on Heaven in 2011:”

1. Resolve to Draw Nearer to God and Christ.

• Have a daily time to read/study God’s word – Heb 4:12
• Be diligent in your prayer life – Heb 4:14-16

2. Resolve to Become Closer to Christians

• Spend Time together – Act 2:46; 3 Jn 14
• Fellowship and visit – 1 Pet 4:7-10

3. Resolve to Get to Know Non-Christians Better

• Invite Neighbor and Co-workers over – Gal 6:10
• Simple Hospitality and Kindness go a long way

4. These Resolutions may sound simple

• If implemented they can work
• To make us who we should be
• To make the Church and community better
• Time is a precious commodity supplied by God
• Jas 4:13-15 Like a vapor or steam
• Eph 5:15-16 Use time wisely
