Sunday’s Coming

When I hear or say that phrase, “It’s Friday . . . Sunday’s coming;” hope grows stronger in me.  When I face hardship, pressure, or stress in this life, I remember — “It’s Friday . . . Sunday’s Coming.”  “Sunday” has at least two meanings to me: 1) On Sunday I will be with my spiritual family as we assemble to worship (the Hebrew writer encourages our assembling by reminding us we stir each other up to love and good works),  and 2) Sunday becomes figurative for the day when Christ returns again and we begin our eternity with Him in the presence of God.  Paul expresses this later idea this way, “For me to die is gain!”

It’s Friday . . . Sunday’s Coming!
