Jesus is that High Priest.

He is From God – Passed through the heavens

Jesus was with God, He was God. As God He came to live on earth.

Therefore,

He understands our weaknesses

He understands because He walked in our shoes. He understands because He walked with us.

Because

He was tempted in every way like we are

He faced temptation that comes as pleasing to His eyes. He faced temptation that results from the desires of His flesh. Jesus faced the temptation of pride.

Yet,

He faced temptation without giving over to sin.

Jesus said no to temptations. He said no to the easy way out. He was able to say no because He said yes to God.

 Therefore,

Let us draw near to God with confidence

To find help. To receive grace. To talk with God in time of need.
